Nord Extreme Himalaya offers  an adventurous and challenging trek in the mustang district passing through the hidden kingdom of Nepal, Mustang remains among the most ancient in the Buddhist world (10th century). This is a newly opened popular route in the Annapurna Mustang region nearby the Tibet border and follows the trekking routes of  Nar Phu valley trekking. It is called Teri La Pass Trek.

 Jomsom is where this  trekking route starts after a 25 minutes flights from Pokhara. Heading towards the upper Mustang region trail and finally crossing to Syange.

This trek has different alternative routes as a start and end point, Nepal dream path starts on this pass from Beshisahar to Jomsom. The trekking trails offers beautiful natural and cultural view along with tantalizing view of different snow covered peaks. Nord Extreme Himalaya organizes Teri La Pass Trek with a professional staff that  has spent a long time in Nepal’s mountains.

As the trekking is in the restricted area in Nepal, where we need special permit which is quite expensive than other treks and given to only those agencies that have been listed in the TAAN. The high altitude trekking routes is almost covered by the snow throughout the year so September, October, April, May and June is the best season and time to trek in this route.

Nord Extreme Himalaya (P) LTD. regularly organizes trek to the Himalayan Kingdom of Mustang targeting TIJI festival a three days long ritual known as “The chasing of the Demons“, one of the most important festival of the region. Over the festive time monks dressed in elaborate costumes and masks perform dances and rituals that are supposed to drive away evil spirits. Dressed in their finery, people from all over Mustang gather in Lo Monthang to celebrate the Tiji festival.

 

Day-01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Nord Extreme Himalaya Pvt. Ltd will transfer to your hotel; we will brief about your trip activities. You’ll have rest of the day at leisure & Overnight at Hotel B/B.

Day-02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour & Office procedure for Permit/Preparation

Sightseeing in some of landmarks that are the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of (Pashupati Nath), the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath). You can also make your last minute buying of personal items and preparation for the next day. Overnight at Hotel B/B.

Day-03: Drive to Bulbule (830 m) by bus. 8 hours.

After breakfast we drive 6-7 hrs by private transport to Bulbule through the scenic countryside and river view. This is an interesting drive through the foothills of the Himalaya. En-route to Pokhara our route diverts from the town village of Dumre towards north to Beshi shahar. This is big town and district headquarters of the Lamjung, Overnight at the Lodge on Full board.

Day-04: Bhulbhule – Syange Trek to Ghermu 1130 m Walking Time 7 Hours

Walking in the trail along the Marsyangdi river is quite easy most of the way. After descending to Khudi and reaching the Marsyangdi it is now a gradual descend up this river. The mountains on both sides of the river are amazing, with tiny villages located on top of them. From Bhulbhule walk to Nagdi (where you can eat good food) and then to Bahundanda(1310 meters). In Bahundanda there are some shops to buy groceries, camera films (still in a reasonable price) and there is even a telephone. After Bahundanda walk to Sange, where we recommend to spend the night. Day-05: Syange/ Ghermu to Tal 1600 m, Walking Time 6 Hours

From Sange go to Jagat, which is located 1250 meters high. Then the path climbs towards Chamche, 1430 meters high. After Chamche the Marsyangdi river creates a small valley, in which Tal is located – 1675 meters high. Tal is a village that looks like a town from a western-movie. The people who live in Tal are some-how strange, but we had a good time there. You can buy there all kinds of goodies, and there is a nice waterfall just near the village. Overnight at hotel on full board.

Day-06: Tal Trek to Timang 2350 m, Walking Time 6 Hours

Walk from Tal to Dharapani (located 1900 meters high). From Dharapani you’ll reach Bagarchap. On November 1995 a land slide ruined the village, killing locals and tourists. Continue a little further, and you’ll reach a place called Timang Located 2350 meters high, Overnight at Lodge on Full board.

Day-07: Timamg Trek to Koto (2600m) 2 Hours

This is a short and easy walking day. Walk from Timang to Koto. Chame is a big village, where you can find many shops, guest houses, police station, a clinic and a bank.

Located 2600 m. high,you can already see some of the big peaks of the Annapurna above you.

Overnight at the Lodge on Full board.

Day-08: Koto Trek to Dharamsala (3230 m)

This morning we head out early, as we have a long and somewhat difficult day before us. Just past the checkpost, we cross the river leading to the Nar Phu valleys, and hike up through beautiful woods above the Phu Khola (river). The route takes us through some beautiful woods and past several small shelters (caves) and a pilgrims’ ‘dharmasala’. As we emerge out of a narrow canyon, the trail actually passes under a wide waterfall just before the dharmasala, from which point the woods become thinner and the vistas wider. A stunning start for the Nar Phu trek! We camp at the dharamsala on full board, a lovely campsite.

Day-09: Dharamsala Trek to Nar Village (3490 m) 8 hours

Continuing up the valley we cross the river at Naar Phedi and begin a long climb to Naar Village. Stay overnight in camp on full board.

Day-10: A day for rest and acclimatization in Naar. Stay overnight in camp on full board

Day-11: Nar Trek to Yak Kharka 4375 m to Lapse Khola Camp (4500 m) 8 hours

Leaving Naar we descend to the valley of the Lapse Khola and crossing the river, we climb to camp in Yak pastures, overnight we camp at Lhapse Khola. Stay overnight in camp on full board.

Day 12:Lapse Khola Trek to High Camp (4,900 m) 5.1/2 hours.

The trail follows the Lapse Khola high above the river keeping approximately to the 4400 m contour with ascents and descents to negotiate several side valleys. Towards the end of the days trek we meet the river and Stay overnight in camp.

Day-13: High Camp ,Cross Teri La (5,595 m) &descend to Pasphu Khola camp (4,750 m) 8/9 hours.

Still following the main Lapse Khola we climb up to a high camp below the pass. We cross the Teri La with tremendous views over the Himalaya and north to Tibet. We descend to a camp beside the Pasphu Khola Stay overnight in camp.

Day-14: Pasphu Khola camp Trek to Yakpa (4300 m) 6 hours.

We have a long day of downhill but still with several climbs to negotiate tributary streams. Today we reach Yakpa in the Upper Kali Gandaki Valley and Stay overnight in camp on full board.

Day-15: Yakpa Trek to Tangge (3750 m) 6 hours.

Another long descent today to reach the village of Tangga in Upper Mustang. Tangga is a fascinating place and this is a great opportunity for an insight into local life in this trans-Himalayan village and Stay overnight in camp camp on full board.

Day-16: Tangge Trek to Yara Gaon 3600 m 5 hours.

Descending the valley of the Puyung Khola we reach the village of Yara Gaon, overnight we camp in Yara Goan camp on full board.

Day-17: Yara Gaon trek to Lo-Manthang (3770 m) 5 hours

Descending to the Kali Gandaki river we cross to the western bank and make a gradual ascent to Lo-Manthang, the capital of Mustang. Overnight we camp on full board.

Day-18: Lo -Manthang(3770 m)

A day for exploring in and around Lo Manthang, with its narrow alleyways and brightly painted houses and chortens. Camp overnight on full board

Day-19: Lo-Manthang Trek to Gemi (3510 m)7 hours

Beginning our trek out of Mustang down the Kali Gandaki Valley there are two route options. Depending on which is chosen, we will today cross the Chogo La (4230 m). visit Ghar Gumba (3920 m) overnight at Ghemi (3510 m). Overnight in camp on full board

Day-20: Gemi Trek to Samar (3620 m.)6 hours.Shyangmochen La (3800 m.)

we trek to Samar, we visit Ranchung Cave on the way to Samar Overnight at camp Full board .

Day-21: Samar Trek to Kagbeni (2800 m)5,hours

The Chele La (3630m) to Chele,where we cross the upper Kali Gandaki on a metal bridge,then meander through Chukksang and Tangbe to finally reach Kagbeni (2810 m..) where we make our final camp on full boar

Day-22: Kagbeni Trek to Jomsom 2 hours.

Today we continue walk along the Kali Gandaki river a flat path until you reach Jomsom. Stay overnight at lodge on full board.

Day-23: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara-Kathmandu

This morning we pack our bags and get ready for the exciting mountain scenic flight to Pokhara. The flight transit through between two high peaks Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and upon arrival at Pokhar we shall check in for Kathmandu flight and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel B/B.

Day-24: Kathmandu

This pleasant day you may have full day at leisure at your own or can be extends your extra trip with us on additional cost or time to explore the Thamel for last day shopping and evening Nord Extreme Himalaya will take you for Farewell dinner. Overnight at Hotel B/B

Day-25: Departure from Kathmandu

A representative of Nord Extreme Himalaya will pick up from your hotel and transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination. This is the time to
