Please read the following terms carefully before booking any trip with Mustang Trekking (operated by Nord Extreme Himalaya Pvt. Ltd.)
By making a booking with us, whether through our website, by email, or in person, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out below.
Privacy
We respect your privacy and take the confidentiality of your personal information seriously. Details you share with us — such as your name, contact information, passport data, or payment details — are used only to process your booking and are never sold or passed on to third parties for marketing purposes. You will only hear from us if you have contacted us directly or someone has enquired on your behalf.
1. Health and Fitness
Trekking in the Himalaya, including the Mustang region, demands a reasonable level of physical fitness. We recommend a medical check-up before joining any multi-day trek, particularly at higher altitudes. Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of booking so we can plan accordingly. Travelers who require extra assistance on the trail can be accommodated on request, subject to an additional charge agreed in advance.
2. Travel Insurance
Every trekker must hold valid travel insurance covering, at minimum:
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Medical treatment and hospitalization
- Emergency evacuation, including helicopter rescue from remote areas
- Loss, theft, or damage to luggage and personal belongings
Your policy must not exclude trekking, mountaineering, or high-altitude activities. Emergency rescue costs are generally payable up front in Nepal and later claimed back from your insurer, so please confirm this arrangement with your provider before departure.
3. Booking Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total trip price is required to confirm your reservation. A further 15% of the trip cost is due no later than 15 days before your departure date.
4. Final Payment
The remaining balance is payable on arrival in Kathmandu, before the start of your trip. Bookings may be cancelled if payments are not received within the agreed timeframe.
5. Bookings Made Close to Departure
We are happy to accept bookings made within 15 days of departure where availability allows. In these cases, full payment of 50% of the trip cost is required at the time of booking.
6. Changes and Cancellations
Once a booking is confirmed, the itinerary cannot be changed by the traveler. Mustang Trekking reserves the right to adjust, postpone, or cancel any part of an itinerary where local conditions — such as weather, road closures, or flight delays — make this necessary. 7. Limitation of Liability
Mustang Trekking acts as a ground operator arranging accommodation, transport, guiding, and permits on your behalf. We cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury, illness, or accident
- Loss of or damage to personal belongings
- Delays, rerouting, or cancellations caused by weather, flight schedules, political disruption, or natural disasters
- Additional expenses arising from the above
Any such costs remain the responsibility of the traveler, which is why comprehensive travel insurance is required for all bookings.
8. Complaints
If any aspect of your trip does not meet your expectations, please raise it with your guide or our office as soon as possible so we can try to resolve it while you are still in Nepal. Complaints raised only after departure from Nepal are more difficult for us to address.
9. Pricing
Prices quoted at the time of booking are held for the trip as confirmed. We reserve the right to adjust prices before departure in the event of significant changes to exchange rates, government taxes, permit fees, domestic flight costs, or other factors outside our control.
