Upper Mustang Trek Booking Policy

Plan your unforgettable journey to Upper Mustang with confidence through Nord Extreme Himalaya Pvt. Ltd.. Our transparent trekking booking policy ensures a safe, secure, and hassle-free adventure in the Himalayas of Nepal.

01. Health & Physical Fitness

Good health and physical fitness are essential for all trekking adventures in Nepal. The Upper Mustang Trek involves walking at high altitudes and remote mountain terrain; therefore, we strongly recommend a medical check-up before your trip.

Trekkers requiring additional assistance or personal support during the journey can request special arrangements in advance. Extra support services may involve additional costs.

02. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekkers booking with Nord Extreme Himalaya Pvt. Ltd.. Your insurance policy should cover:

  • High-altitude trekking and adventure activities
  • Emergency helicopter evacuation
  • Medical treatment and accidents
  • Trip cancellation or interruption
  • Loss, theft, or damage of baggage and personal belongings

Please note that rescue insurance is not available in Nepal. Emergency evacuation expenses must be paid immediately unless your insurance provider guarantees direct payment.

03. Advance Booking Deposit

To confirm your Upper Mustang Trek booking, a 20% non-refundable advance deposit is required. An additional 15% payment must be completed at least 15 days before the trip departure date, according to company policy.

Early booking is highly recommended, especially during the peak trekking seasons in spring and autumn.

04. Final Payment

The remaining balance can be paid upon your arrival in Kathmandu before the trek departure. Failure to complete the required payments within the specified timeline may result in trip cancellation.

05. Last-Minute Booking

We accept last-minute bookings up to 15 days before departure, depending on permit availability and logistics. For late reservations, 50% of the total trip cost must be paid in advance.

06. Cancellation & Itinerary Changes

Clients are not permitted to change the trekking itinerary independently after confirmation. However, Nord Extreme Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any part of the trip due to weather conditions, safety concerns, government regulations, transportation issues, or unforeseen local circumstances.
