Adventure mustang

Upper Mustang is located north of Annapurna with an average altitude of 4000m. It is geologically and culturally part of the Tibetan plateau. The valleys are arid and dry with colorful rock formations containing many cave dwellings high up in the cliffs.

The Yartung Festival is an annual horse racing festival held in Lo Manthang, the walled capital of Upper Mustang. It is celebrated in the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar (usually in July or August) and marks an important social and cultural occasion for the Mustang community.
